PARK PERKS: Best parks in San Jose

It’s always refreshing to get away from the computer and go outside! San Jose is home to some wonderful parks. If you’re looking for a fragrant, tranquil relaxation or a lovely picnic escape, try the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden. If you’re more up for a hike or a bike ride, try Hellyer Park & Coyote Creek Trail. It’s great for all ages. There’s a huge pond with ducks, sprawling greenscape, slight hills, and lots of shade. The little ones will love Emma Prusch Farm Park. There’s a big red barn and lots of peacocks, roosters, and geese wandering around. We’re giving this park a rating of ‘A’ for adorable. For more active runners, hikers, and walkers, try Alum Rock Park. It has long trails to help you get a real workout. And we would be remiss if we did not include a skate park! Lake Cunningham Skate Park has 3 bowls, a thimble, tall vertical wall, full pipe and more.
